Our Studio

At 124 sq metres, Dance Station has probably Brighton's largest dance studio. It has a sprung beech floor, wall to wall mirrors, barres, a powerful sound system, as well as changing room and toilets.

Getting to the studio

Nearest station: Portslade (7-10 minute walk). From Portslade station, follow Boundary Road towards the seafront, North Street is the last turning on the right, the studio is 200 metres on the left hand side.

Buses 1, 7, 16, 25, 49, 49A, 66, 56, 6,46, 56 all stop on Boundary Road.

There is free parking around the studio.

Getting into the studio

On entering the building, follow the signs for The Dance Station and then walk quietly through the studio, where there is usually a flamenco class taking place, to the changing area.

About us

Founded in 2001, the Ballet Collective is run by Collette, Penny and Ketta. We wanted to provide the Brighton area with regular, high quality and affordable ballet classes.

Our classes don't follow a particular syllabus, and are structured so there's plenty of opportunity to dance. We, along with teachers, Kay and Ruth, teach a variety of styles — from ISTD and RAD to bit of Russian technique — to ensure you'll get plenty of variety.

We all have a passion for ballet, and providing the community with ballet classes that are affordable, open to everyone and fun. We continue to want ballet as part of our lives, and the Ballet Collective was born to allow us — and you — the chance to dance every week.
